Unit 16: Database systems

This unit is about databases which are very widely used today by businesses and non-commercial organisations. A retail company will use a database to store information about staff, customers, orders and sales. A college will store all the information about students, tutors and courses.
This is what we need to do to achieve a pass grade:
- principles of database systems
- design a non-relational database system, including different data types
- Create a non-relational database for a given design
- Import data into a non-relational database system
- Produce queries to extract meaninful data from a non-relational database system
- Create and use data entry forms
- export data from a non relational database system
- produce user documentation for a non-relational dsatabase system
